Endo Kids Concierge Patient Benefits
Concierge Benefits Included in the Membership Fee at Endo Kids Concierge
-
When you call the office during office hours there will be live people to take your call, who have real concern for your child’s health and well-being. In the event that we are unable to personally answer the phone, your call will be returned promptly. If you deem your problem urgent, we will make every effort to speak to you at the time of your call.
-
You will receive a prompt response from us personally (usually within 24-48 hours). You may send a text message if a brief communication is appropriate. Because email and text communications are not always secure, please use discretion when choosing topics to discuss with us via these platforms. The patient portal is the best way to communicate securely and confidentially.
-
Office visits are best scheduled when the full complement of staff is available. However, to best accommodate your child/family’s busy schedules, should your child require an occasional visit outside of our usual office hours, we will certainly do our best to reasonably accommodate you and your child. This may include before or after school hours or weekends, on a caseby-case basis, at our discretion.
-
If your child is hospitalized for an endocrine issue, we will make ourselves available whenever possible to communicate with you and to serve as an advocate on your child’s behalf. If you wish, we will do what we reasonably can to remain involved in your child’s care by communicating with the hospitalists or other attending physicians who provide services to your child.
-
With a smaller, individual-focused practice, there is ample time to coordinate your child’s care with his/her pediatrician and other specialists, as needed.
-
With a smaller practice size, we are able to accommodate your child from birth up to 26 years old. This will allow for uninterrupted care for your child.

This allows easy and direct communications for urgent endocrine problems that occur outside of regular office hours. We will use reasonable best efforts to be available to hear from you when your child is ill to coordinate their care. For emergencies, however, always call 911 first.
-
Office visits will start promptly with little to no waiting in a wait or exam room. Appointments will be scheduled for approximately 30 minutes and up to 60 minutes, if needed. The goal is to provide visits with less hurry and more time to thoroughly address all your questions and concerns in order to meet the needs of you and your child.
-
As part of our commitment to your child’s long-term endocrine health and wellness, our philosophy is to evaluate and provide education on your child’s growth, nutrition and fitness needs with an emphasis on healthy living. In addition to the cutting-edge 21st century approach we already offer through our practice, we will assist you to identify and evaluate primary care, specialty care, mental health and behavioral health providers and resources, if needed. This will support your efforts to take an active role in managing and maintaining your child’s good health.
-
Whether your family is on a brief vacation, living some of the year in a second residence or your child is away at college/university or otherwise unable to come to the office, we will offer a “virtual” endocrine consultation. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis, at our discretion, and be subject to applicable state law requirements. However, if in our judgment your child needs to be seen by a local endocrinologist, we will encourage you to seek medical attention. We will communicate with you directly, as well as with your child’s treating physician as needed, to support the coordination of your child’s care on health issues that may arise.
-
To ensure the delivery of optimal patient care, we provide support by monitoring recommended laboratory tests and diagnostic studies such as x-rays. We also facilitate coordination of medication refills, manage necessary prior authorizations, and assist with accessing copay assistance programs.
